10 Fun things you may not have known about me!
I’m a talker and I love to get to know people better. So here are a few things you may not know about me. Some will make you go, “no way!” while others will make you laugh. So let’s take a look at 10 Fun “Kim” Facts you may not have known.
- I was born in Michigan but was raised in Florida! My mother loved the warmer climate so when I was 7 we moved to the Tampa Bay area. I graduated high school there and then moved back to Michigan when my grandmother’s (my mom’s mom) cancer turned down a dark path. She passed at age 48. So young. I miss her.
2. One of my drawings hung in the Tampa Museum of Art for a week! When I was a senior in High School, I was one of the lucky winners selected to have my drawing be placed on display. I was pretty proud!
3. I love my outside garden but I can’t grow house plants. It’s true! Plants come to cross over the plant rainbow at my house. I don’t know why, but my outside plants do better than any inside plant! It doesn’t matter what I do to try to save them.
4. I learned how to read tarot about 7 years ago. I’m no pro but it’s fun. I have loved astrology and horoscopes since I was a little girl. Now that I’m older, I decided I wanted to learn. So I guess you could call me an intuitive card reader.
5. I was 35 years old before I had my daughter. We didn’t think I could get pregnant since my husband and I have been together for so long. We married in 1998 and Josie was born in 2008. Now she is getting ready to graduate high school.
6. I lost my mother to endometrial cancer in 2008. She was only 51 years old. She and my daughter are the biggest reasons I became my own boss. So I could educate people on the importance of label reading and to stay at home with my daughter.
7. I love Tigers!!! One day I will pet a bangal tiger. It’s on my bucket list. But for now, I will love on my little tigers…my 2 cats. Fancy and Pebbles will have been part of our family for 2 years in August. We love them both!
8. I can touch my nose with my tongue! LOL! It’s one of my secret talents. It’s also funny to watch peoples reactions when I do it.
9. I have a baby tooth! It’s true! I was told at the age of 15 I still have a baby tooth and to keep it for as long as I can. It’s still there at 52. Even the dentist is surprised it’s still hanging on. There is no second tooth under it so I’m holding on to it for dear life!
10. I had social anxiety in school! When I was in school, I was the quiet kid. I never liked being called on to talk or answer questions in front of the class. Now look at me! I can stand up in front of a group of ladies and demo how to use skincare with no problem.
